KCC Lady Golfers Open Day
The KCC Lady Golfers Open Day, held on Friday 28th June, was a great success with 113 players from 20 different clubs participating in a Single Stableford event. Players travelled from various clubs in different regions including Gloucester, Dungog, Wodonga, and South West Rocks, making it a competitive and diverse field. Despite some challenging course conditions, players enjoyed the event thanks to Brendan and his team’s efforts in maintaining the course. After the game, all players and member volunteers gathered at the club for a post-game lunch and presentation. Dean and the club staff ensured that everyone had access to lunch, coffee, and bar facilities. The KCC Lady members also contributed with a delightful spread of morning tea and dessert, with proceeds from the dessert sales going to the Aussie Battlers Charity at Laurieton. Thanks to the support of major sponsors Morgans Financial Ltd and LUSC, the event offered prizes for 1st to 4th place in four divisions, along with special awards like Longest Drive, Accuracy Drive, and Nearest the Pin in each grade. Congratulations to the major prize winners, including Barbara Varcoe from Wauchope Club for Gross Stableford, Dianne Hickson from Frederickton Club for Best Overall Stableford Score, and Chris Essex from Emeral Downs Club for the Long Marker Trophy. For those interested in joining the KCC Lady Golfers, the club welcomes new members. You can contact the club directly at

We had a great day with Camden Haven RFS Brigade for our Charity Bowls event!
We had a great day with NSW RFS – Camden Haven Brigade at Kew Country Club with our Charity Bowls event. The rain held off just enough to almost finish our bowls and then we had the raffle draw and auction. A big thank you to Dean and his staff at the club and the team from Laurieton United Services Club for organising and supporting this event. Whilst the Camden Haven team did win the inaugural trophy, Johns River put up a gallant fight.
