CATEGORY 1 – HASTINGS REGIONAL GRANT ROUND

The Hastings Regional Grants Committee has recently awarded grants to local organizations in the Hastings area through the Category 1 Grants program. These grants support initiatives in community welfare, social services, community development projects, health services, and employment assistance activities. Laurieton United Services Club is pleased to have donated over $24,000 to deserving recipients in the latest grant round.

At a regional presentation ceremony held at Panthers Port Macquarie on August 19th, club representatives and grant recipients came together to celebrate the positive impact of these grants. Among the recipients, Camden Haven Fire Brigade will receive marquees for educational workshops, St Vincent de Paul St Matthews Conference Laurieton will continue providing support to the homeless and low-income families, and Camden Haven Community at 3 will enhance their mobility support services and weekly BBQs for the disadvantaged in the community.

Johns River Public Hall & Recreation Reserve will now be equipped with a new defibrillator for emergencies round the clock, while Laurieton RSL can commemorate Anzac Day with renewed strength thanks to the funding received. These grants not only benefit worthy causes but also reinforce the bonds within our community, underscoring the impact of collective generosity in strengthening our community.
